Black Mental Health Matters is an international mental health advocacy movement  registered as a non profit  corporation in Texas , United States  to dispel myths, network Mental Health Professionals, encourage open dialogue around Mental health among Black Communities, eradicate stigma and provide an enabling environment for people suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD,PTSS or trauma to heal. Black Mental Health Matters vision is to promote mental health research, champion for mental health rights for people of African descent, combat medical racism, create the infrastructure that Africa needs for mental health and provide an environment where people with trauma can heal. Black Mental Health Matters runs a weekly Mental Health show on United States of Africa Facebook page every Saturday at 5PM EAT/2PM GMT and this has come in handy as the world battles raging pandemic, anxiety, depression during lockdowns and rising mental health cases reported.
