Our weekly workshops support each individual in the development of work-relevant and financial literacy skills with one-one-one support from our Mighty Hawks facilitators, a passionate group of students at Enactus Laurier. Week over week, the participants have shown amazing progress in their confidence with everything from budgeting their money more effectively, to building a resume, to answering the seemingly simple, but quite difficult question of “tell me about yourself.” Mighty Hawks is also now a part of Developmental Services Ontario, expanding its reach to more individuals in and across the region. Working beyond our workshops this year we have integrated the work readiness program into our enterprise, presenting our participants with the opportunity to apply for paid internships. Want to bring Mighty Hawks program to you ? We offer crash courses where Mighty Hawks goes outside of Laurier with our one-to-one volunteers and curriculum for other developmental services. New this year we have begun offering educational presentations about hiring adults with disabilities in the workplace to Corporate Entities.
