Das Deutsche Institut für Menschenrechte setzt sich dafür ein, dass Deutschland die Menschenrechte im In- und Ausland einhält und fördert. Das Institut begleitet und überwacht zudem die Umsetzung der UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention und der UN- Kinderrechtskonvention und hat hierfür die Monitoring-Stelle UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention und die Monitoring-Stelle UN-Kinderrechtskonvention eingerichtet. ____ The German Institute for Human Rights is Germany‘s independent National Human Rights Institution (NHRI). The Institute promotes the integration of human rights into domestic and foreign policy decisions and monitors the implementation of international human rights treaties by Germany. The Institute also supports and monitors the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (in accordance with Article 33 Paragraph 2 UN CRPD) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and has established Monitoring Mechanisms for these purposes.
