Students in SMF manage between 25 and 35 equity positions with a portfolio value in excess of $6 million. The Student Managed Fund gives Trinity students the opportunity to manage real money in financial markets, bridging the gap between financial theory and real-world application. The purpose of the fund is to enrich the education of business students through a “hands-on” approach and to beat market performance as measured by Standard and Poor’s 500 Index.
