GloMo is a northern Virginia-based communications technologies research and development group. Our R&D strategies leverage unique partnership opportunities that build on the success of open source development models by identifying disruptive technologies and then developing products and services for successful insertion into the marketplace. GloMo's work focuses on three general areas of innovation: • Data Performance: The exponential growth of data continues to outpace the infrastructure available to move and store it. We seek to accelerate R&D and business plan development for products that optimize data compression and encryption for a variety of practical uses (e.g. enterprise storage, medical imaging, mobile/wearable devices, streaming video) for end users in the public and private sectors. • Mobile Communications: Our recent work in cellular and satellite communications includes a diverse range of products and services that increase capabilities and lower costs for consumers and emergency responders. We are actively pursuing opportunities in areas such as antenna and transmission technologies – including satellite networks – as well as engineering solutions such as smart routers and cell site expansion. • National Defense: Today’s military and intelligence communities require the deployment of capabilities as opposed to the development of technologies or technical requirements. The new era of entrepreneurs we support are becoming commercial leaders in the defense arena, and they’re doing it by coming to the market with solutions that are better, cheaper, and faster than the legacy programs supported by Large Scale Integrators (LSIs).
