FDR is India's leading think-tank and research-resource center for promoting democratic institutions and formulating fundamental reforms in democratic and governannce spheres and in critical areas of public policy. FDR was established in 1996 and is based in Hyderabad. For the last 15 years, FDR is actively engaged in informed advocacy of comprehensive electoral reforms, strengthening citizen-centered governance and public policy, empowerment of local governments, judicial and police reforms and instruments of transparency and accountability.
