Breathe was founded in 2010 with the aspiration to make a significant impact for its client’s energy and carbon saving ambitions. Breathe began life under the ownership of MCW, a Canadian specialist energy management and engineering company. We grew from a start up to one of the UK’s leading UK Energy Performance Contractors through the hard work, enthusiasm, determination and dedication of our employees. In December 2019, Breathe was acquired by Imtech who are jointly owned by EDF Energy and Dalkia. This provided us with a owner who share our long-term goals to deliver material energy and carbon reduction savings for clients including the NHS, local government, the civil service, universities and private clients. Since then, we have entered a new phase of growth that has seen us working in partnership with our public sector clients, to secure significant amounts of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) to enable much needed energy efficiency, heat decarbonisation and renewable energy projects to be delivered across and support the Governments decarbonisation ambitions. We work to deliver a range of energy conservation and carbon reduction measures for our clients, including air and water source heat pumps, roof mounted Solar PV, Building Management Systems (BMS) optimisation and building fabric upgrades.
