In 2012, I attended a workshop called "Microbudget Filmmaking". The presenters showed a wedding video that they produced and halfway into watching the video, I found myself tearing up watching two complete strangers marrying one another. After the video was completed, the presenters explained that it was not enough to have good lighting and cinematography; you needed to tell a story that would emotionally resonate with your audience. I was so compelled by their presentation, I sent one of my photographers to Portland to apprentice under them for 3 months. This began our journey to become experts in the art and science of storytelling. In that journey we have learned what makes a story compelling and what makes a story bore someone to tears. We apply all of that knowledge for our clients and help them have a bigger impact by creating videos that emotionally resonate with their target audience. We have also become students in video strategy. We help our clients develop the right content to the right audience delivered in the right way at the right time.
