Serenity HospiceCare

Established in 1989, Serenity HospiceCare is the most experienced local hospice, providing the best possible end-of-life care with a spiritual foundation and a proud core belief in helping veterans with their unique needs. The mission of Serenity HospiceCare is to provide excellent end-of-life care and grief support services to those in our service area who need them. Our secondary mission is to inform the general public and healthcare community about the benefits of hospice services and to provide community programs which are consistent with our vision and primary mission. People facing the end of life often have a common desire: to be at peace with their decisions. Concerns for the comfort of a loved one with a life-limiting illness, worries about the impact on family members, and anxiety about the grieving process all weigh on your soul. This is precisely why Serenity HospiceCare (formerly HospiceCare, Inc.) is here – to provide excellent end-of-life care and grief support services to all in our community. Modern medicine has made tremendous strides in treating serious illness. Yet there may come a point when a disease cannot be cured. This is the purpose and mission of hospice care, to bring peace to those at the end of life by making sure they have the highest quality of life possible. In general, a patient with any life-limiting, progressive illness and a life expectancy of about six months or less may be appropriate for our services. It is important to know the particulars of hospice care, because there is a difference. Established in 1989, Serenity HospiceCare is the most experienced local hospice, providing the best possible care for the whole person: physically, emotionally and spiritually. Decisions about your care are made right here, with you, not by an out-of-state corporation. Our board of directors is made up of people who live, work and worship in the counties we serve.
