BirchBark
www.birchbarkfoundation.orgBirchBark Foundation protects and honors the human-animal bond through financial assistance to vulnerable families faced with unaffordable medical expenses to save the life of a pet. We support all families with our education and pet loss counseling programs. We currently serve the communities of Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties with our veterinary support grants. Financial Grants: Our financial grants help low-income pet owners who cannot cover the costs of medical care when a pet faces life-threatening, or life-compromising illness. We partner with local veterinary hospitals that discount their fees by 25%. BirchBark pays up to 50%, and the pet owner is responsible for remaining 25%. Pet Education: Our webinar educational series features professionals providing short seminars on how to be the best advocate for your pet. We feature quarterly pet education seminars led by experts. Topics include health issues, behavior challenges, and pet safety. Pet Loss and Grief Support: BirchBark offers FREE twice monthly grief support groups. https://www.birchbarkfoundation.org/griefsupport Each session is led by a licensed counselor. We also have on call counselors for those experiencing the heartbreaking grief of losing the unconditional love of a companion. Please visit our website at www.birchbarkfoundation.org to learn more about what we do. You can help protect pets and save their families from going through the unimaginable grief of losing their pet to surrender or, worse, economic euthanasia simply because they cannot afford the care to save their lives. We rely on the generosity of individuals, companies, and other organizations donations. Please consider making a tax-deductible gift today. 501c3 nonprofit organization. Tax ID 81-2531220
