The Colibri Foundation Four friends with a mission to help underprivileged children of Peru. Colibri Foundation (Stichting Colibri) was founded in Amsterdam in 1987. In 2008 we picked up our activities again and with the support of well known sponsors we were able to build and expand a kindergarten in Chimpahuaylla in 2011. (Two aula's, a kitchen and restrooms). In the early 90s the foundation build two kindergartens, Sipaspugio and Angostura. All the kindergartens are located in Cusco, Peru. Thanks to the foundation and volunteers we are able to help over 200 children on a yearly basis. To enjoy, learn ABC, play, sing, dance and all related to what a child does at a kindergarten. Our aim is to help various kindergartens in Peru, however the three kindergartens mentioned above have a special place in our hearts. We help by providing maintenance, implementations, didactic materials and extra attentions such as nutritious food supplements and Christmas celebrations called Chocolatada Navidena. Luckily every year we do have the possibility to help at least one other kindergarten. Stichting Colibri is registered in the Netherlands.
