MDS UK is an advocacy and support group for those affected by rarer blood cancer Myelodysplastic Syndromes. We offer patient meetings with specialist speakers, distribute information, offer support, raise awareness of MDS with health professionals, politicians, health authorities. We lobby for access to treatment and take part in HTA's. Our committee members are either patients themselves - or relatives of patients. We are a founding member of the MDS Alliance, the international umbrella group for all national MDS patient support groups. As such we participate in international haematology congresses such as the European Haematology Association (EHA), as well as American Society of Haematology congress.
