Over the years the company has grown from a Baton Rouge Louisiana based start-up focusing on the Gulf of Mexico to an international maritime logistics provider with operations from the Far East to the Caribbean. In 2019, Marex opened an office in Guatemala City as the regional office for the Latin America market and in 2019 in Dubai as the regional office for the Middle East & Africa market.
