I’m a freelance UX & product design consultant. I've worked across digital for 20 years. Mostly at global digital agencies you might know like McCann, Havas & Sigma. And some smaller ones you might not. I've been lucky enough to deliver some award-winning products, as well as some mediocre ones. I've learnt a lot from both Such as, I always learn something essential with user testing. Or that when I write a joined-up strategy the product is way more successful. And that spending time understanding the problem is time well spent. I've also learnt that I'm at my best working closely with clients to understand their business problems. As well as their users to understand their needs. And that the best digital work comes when I work in a multi-discipline team I’ve grown to love user research. And setting KPIs. And tracking them. But I've seen enough to know that budgets aren't infinite, and sometimes you have to compromise. Despite that, I don't think modest budgets should prevent clever solutions to big problems.
