The Literacy Alliance of Pennsylvania is a collaboration of critical stakeholders mobilized to eradicate the roadblocks and injustices that prevent children with dyslexia and learning disabilities from learning to read. We believe in the uniquely transformative power of literacy. We believe the ability to read is the single most significant protective factor against trauma and that difficulties learning to read should not result in emotional trauma. Children should not be limited by an inability to read. As learning to read is crucial to a child’s future potential, The Literacy Alliance of Pennsylvania champions the literacy rights of children bringing equity and hope to families of children with dyslexia and learning disabilities.
