Hilo is a different trading system for coffee. It is also an inclusive network of people doing things so that change happens. Hilo means a thread in Spanish. It is a symbol of connection and trust. It can be as weak and delicate as the trust between two human beings — a single strand that is quickly snapped. Or as strong as the weave many of these threads can create: a network. We think that everyone and every profession should have the chance to contribute to sustainability. It can be as easy as drinking coffee from the Hilo system.
