Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County
www.communitygardenkitchen.orgThe Community Garden Kitchen Project began when a group of citizens, educators and business Professionals, concerned about hunger in our community, joined together to raise funds to build a kitchen at Holy Family School. The new free standing building will include a kitchen and lunchroom to serve the pre-school students attending the school. But beyond addressing the needs of the children and staff, the kitchen will also serve families in the community that are facing hunger. After school hours, the kitchen will be open to provide a safe, welcoming environment where people may enjoy a nutritious meal. The kitchen will also serve as a community meeting room, a place for church services and a space for a variety of education and cooking classes. Community Garden Kitchen is an important complement to other services providing food to fill the needs in our area. Many people experiencing hunger do not have the equipment or opportunity to prepare food. Inviting and involving the entire faith, public and private communities to provide the funding for construction and continuing operation is essential in making this vision become a reality. We hope you will join us to stop hunger in our community. For more information about the project and how you can become involved, please visit our web page. www.communitygardenkitchen.org. The Community Garden Kitchen is a Texas Non-Profit in the application process for 501 (c) 3 tax status. All donations are tax deductible.
