Families of Color Seattle is building a strong community by supporting families of color through equitable parent programs, resource sharing, and meaningful connections. We envision a world where children of color are born into a loving community that is racially and economically just. Founded in 2013, FOCS is led by mothers of color and has connected more than 2000 families into an intercultural and interethnic community. FOCS specializes in community dialogues, workshops and consulting on race, family engagement, and anti-bias education. We equip parents and educators with tools to talk with children on identity, racism, inclusion & equity, and trauma-informed practices.
