Moort Care

www.moortcare.org.au

Moort Care is a not for profit charity that was established and launched by Bev Lowe OAM & John Lowe OAM on Thursday 15th March 2018 at a seniors lunch party in Maida Vale, Western Australia. The term "Moort" is derived from the local native Noongar language meaning “family”, and it imbues the fundamental value of which the charity was founded. Under its current capacity and capability, Moort Care provides the following services: - Food hampers to seniors and families in need in the community - Senior lunches throughout the year to seniors from nursing homes in the community. Additionally in collaboration with Communicare and RPH, KEMH & PMH we provide: - Blankets for patients undergoing health tests - Nappy bags, bibs and baby blankets to struggling families with newborn children. We also are in the process of developing the Kanga Care School Program which encourages schools to participate in our cause through donations, which assist us to fund our food hampers program. The program's Kanga mascot visits participating schools, which has been generously handmade by Communicare’s sewing workshop. If you wish to make contact with us, Bev can be contacted via email at chair@moortcare.org.au or alternatively contact the organisations main email enquiries@moortcare.org.au
