ACASP - Association of african researchers in population health
www.aaphr.orgThe Association of African Population Health Researchers (ACASP) is an association governed by the law of 1 July 1901 and the decree of 16 August 1901. Its main objectives are to: - contribute to the development of research, in particular through research projects in the field of population health in Africa on the one hand, and any other activity likely to contribute to improving the health of populations on the other; - facilitate contacts and exchanges between PhD Students, students and African researchers; - participate in the training of students and health professionals in the field of the scientific health research ; - produce and to disseminate scientific results relevant and useful for health policy decisions; - become involved through scientific activities (multidisciplinary symposia or seminars, presentation of thesis work, conferences and debates with external speakers) and cultural (exhibitions, various events); - contribute, in collaboration with other associations, to national and international initiatives aimed at promoting exchanges between researchers on population health issues; - participate, through recreational activities, in strengthening links between its members, senior researchers and future doctoral students. The association can occasionally act as an opinion relay on specific themes. The scientific activities aim in particular to enable PhD students and neo-doctors from all backgrounds and all disciplines to present their research work on common topics.
