Founded in 1953 by Baylor College of Medicine and the Lions Club of the Texas Gulf Coast, the Lions Eye Bank of Texas is a FDA registered non-profit organization as well as an accredited member of the Eye Bank Association of America. The Lions Eye Bank of Texas provides corneal tissue to surgeons across the Texas Gulf Coast and throughout the world. We also focus on providing community education and outreach programs about the importance of corneal donation and prevention for the causes of preventable corneal blindness.
