We formed Dovetail Labs because we believe that academic social science needs to have a voice in discussions regarding the impacts and ethical implications of emerging technology. Our goal is to bring the insights of real, rigorous anthropology to questions of how technology is developed and implemented. We aim to share these insights with integrity and clarity, with the companies developing this technology. We are an independent consulting company working with companies, universities, foundations and non-profit organizations to help them better understand real and pressing issues that they are in a unique and powerful position to address.
