The National Apology Foundation was established in 2014 by the Hon Kevin Rudd AC to perpetuate the spirit and substance of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations. The Foundation is committed to sustaining the Apology’s bi-partisan support into the future. It is also determined to Close the Gap and ensure that the Closing the Gap framework is maintained by future governments. It is vital that governments continue to be held to account by being required to report to Parliament annually and report our progress in meeting the targets.
