Wellspring
www.wellspringcares.orgWellspring, formerly Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services of Saratoga County (DVRC) is the domestic violence services resource provider for Saratoga County residents and the sexual assault services resource provider for residents of Washington and Saratoga Counties. At Wellspring we believe relationships should be safe. No one should be controlled by or afraid of someone they love–our vision is that of a community free of relationship and sexual abuse. To that end, our mission is supporting survivors and engaging our community to end relationship and sexual abuse. Each year, our crisis intervention and survivor services support more than 1,000 clients—providing safe housing to adults and children either fleeing or homeless because of domestic violence, as well as comprehensive support in the form of counseling, legal advocacy, and case management. While helping victims in need is a major focus of the Agency’s mission, we know that by increasing awareness we can end intimate partner violence. Wellspring staff provides prevention and education programs to school-aged youth, as well as training and education programs for parents, faith-based congregations, and professional organizations. Wellspring offers a full range of emergency, shelter, and community services, none of which are influenced in any manner in regards to age, race, creed, color, national origin, marital status, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, military status, genetic predisposition or carrier status, disability, or any other protected class. All of our services and free and confidential.
