Southwest Charlotte STEM Academy is a free, public charter school nestled in the Steele Creek area of Charlotte which is the fastest growing area in Mecklenburg County! We currently serve students in grades K-6 as a first-year school that opened in August of 2019. In our second year, (2020-2021) we will serve students in grades K-7. Our school is quickly growing into North Carolina’s “premier STEM School” as we provide all students with an interactive science, technology, engineering and math centered approach to learning. We are also a workshop model school for reading.
