Sophtron provides both API and open source widget that lets client connect with his/her external bank account instantly, which verifies the client's identity and ownership, getting current balances and up to 48 months of transactions, as well as retrieving the ACH account number/routing number and identity information such as owner's name, address, email and phone numbers.
