Our idea is an innovative biodegradable edible plastic from milk and dairy waste as complete packaging solution for the needs of food packaging industry. We all know about the huge impact the plastic packaging has on our environment, animals and on us. With Milkywaste complete packaging solution you just pour hot water on your favourite drink or food packaged in Milkywaste plastic and you’re done. The plastic dissolves with water without impacting smell, taste or quality of your food or your drink. In todays world we are witnessing a big clash of nature and human’s “throw away” culture. We all know that things have to change if we want to save nature and provide a future for generations to come. As young chemical engineers we wanted to prove ourselves outside the university environment with the aim to test our gained knowledge but also gain new knowledge and experiences in entrepreneurship. Our story started in 2018 with big success towards our aims. We achieved 3rd place in Green business idea competition hosted by Climate-KIC. We learned a lot in the past two years, but we are not done yet. In 2019, we proved our laboratory skills with the successful development of our prototype – an MVP was born. Now we are paving our way to get an active investor, build a strong relationship and accelerate our prototype to production scale.
