The JCB Academy is the first of a brand new kind of school in the UK, focused on delivering high-quality engineering and business education, with intake's in Year 9, 10 and 12. Our motto is 'Changing lives by developing the engineers and business leaders of the future' and our aim is to ensure that our learners have every chance to achieve success, whether they continue into further education, or move to further learning in the world of work when they leave here. At The JCB Academy, the curriculum and learning techniques are unique, allowing learners to combine theory with practical activities: putting learning into practice in our purpose-built, state-of-the-art facilities. Our hours are more like business hours than normal schools and sixth form colleges, but the curriculum encourages a structured and effective use of time. This progressive, 21st Century approach to education has some very traditional values at heart and at The JCB Academy we place huge emphasis on self-discipline, good behaviour, uniform, teamwork and co-operation.
