Deuce Beach Tennis, founded in 2019, is a new beach tennis club led by the British No.1 Chris Maguire. We are looking to progress the development of the sport we love in the UK. Playing beach tennis is a really fun experience and by coming along on our journey maybe you’ll discover a new passion! OUR VISION: "To be an internationally regarded provider of beach tennis which attracts players of all abilities to play the sport" OUR MISSION: "To develop beach tennis in the UK by providing the opportunity for players of all abilities to learn, and progress their skills in a fun environment" It's an up-and-coming sport in the UK that has been around in Italy for many years. Beach Tennis draws inspiration from sports such as tennis, beach volleyball, badminton and padel. It is a non impact sport which is easy for people to pick up quickly, enabling them to have an immediate feel-good experience whilst playing. The sport can be played with a partner in doubles as well as individually in singles. The International Beach Tennis Tour started in 2008 when the International Tennis Federation assumed responsibility for the development of the sport around the globe. There are now over 300 tournaments a year with prize money ranging from $0–$50k+. The atmosphere and vibe of the sport is always fun and relaxed, played on beaches across the world with one of the biggest tournaments held in Aruba in the Caribbean.
