Salesforce account auto-updates with Lusha Signals

Build a workflow that is triggered by new Lusha Signals, matches the right Salesforce Account, and updates key fields (headcount, hiring trends, open roles, growth indicators). Add scoring and alerts so reps see momentum ASAP.

Why this works

Account prioritization usually breaks because the CRM is a snapshot. A company changes fast (hiring spikes, leadership moves, expansion), but Salesforce stays frozen unless someone manually updates it.

This play flips Salesforce into a living view of the market: signals come in, the record updates automatically, and “worth revisiting” accounts surface without anyone chasing spreadsheets.

What you get

A system that:

  • Pulls fresh company signals (hiring increases, team expansion, leadership changes, headcount growth)
  • Updates Salesforce accounts with the latest fields (employee count, open roles, growth indicators)
  • Flags accounts to revisit based on real activity
  • Optionally notifies teams in Slack/email when momentum hits

Salesforce field model

Fields to update (examples from the play)

  • Employee count
  • Open roles / hiring activity
  • Hiring trend indicator
  • Growth indicator / “worth revisiting” flag

Control fields (recommended)

  • Last signal update (timestamp)
  • Latest signal type
  • Signal intensity / score (simple numeric score is enough)
  • Priority tier (A/B/C)

How to set it up

01

Trigger by new Lusha Signals

When Lusha detects activity like hiring growth or leadership changes, use that event to trigger the recipe in Workato.

02

Match the company to the right Salesforce Account

Use domain, company name, or custom matching rules to find the correct Account record.

03

Enrich the Account with updated signal details

Pull signal details from Lusha and write them into Salesforce fields (employee count, hiring trends, open roles, team growth insights, leadership changes).

04

Apply rules or scoring

Update account score, re-segment the account, or mark it for follow-up when signal thresholds are met.

05

Notify the team (optional)

Send a Slack or email alert to the Account owner (or segment channel) when meaningful growth is detected.

06

Keep Salesforce “live”

With signals flowing in, Salesforce reflects market changes continuously, without manual maintenance.

What to do next

  • Add thresholds so only high-intent movement triggers alerts (keeps noise down)
  • Route alerts by owner/segment so the right rep sees the right account
  • Turn the score into action: tasks, sequences, or “review this account” queues

The goal: Salesforce stops being a static database, and becomes your always-updated account radar.
