The Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA) is a non-profit association representing more than 2,000 Aging Life Care Professionals® - sometimes referred to as geriatric care managers. ALCA members act as a guide and advocate for families who are caring for older relatives or disabled adults, ensuring that they live well as they face the challenges of aging. The Aging Life Care Professional is educated and experienced in any of several fields related to Aging Life Care™ / care management, including, but not limited to nursing, gerontology, social work, therapy, or psychology, with a specialized focus on issues related to aging and elder care. ALCA members must meet stringent education, experience, and certification requirements of the organization, and all members are required to adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards of practice.
