BajaBoard International was established to commercialise a new patent pending electric skateboard called the BajaBoard. This is the first electric skateboard in the world to feature full suspension design with independent steering and traction control. BajaBoard's design covers disciplines of mechanical & automotive engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and controls engineering, and manufacturing engineering. BajaBoard's primary use is in action sports, but it also has applications for personal mobility, the military and the film industry. It was awarded "Best Alternative Vehicle" at the 2014 Melbourne Electric Vehicle Expo. BajaBoard is officially due for release in 2017.
