The Company and its subsidiaries run their core business activities in the sector of power and steam generation, coal mining, wholesale trading, multimedia, and infrastructure in Indonesia. The Company was established in 1996 under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. In December 2009, the Company listed 770,552,320 shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). - Power and steam generator The Company started its commercial operation on January 1, 1998 by operating four power plants located in Tangerang, Serang, and Karawang. In 2011 the Company established PT DSSP Power Sumsel which runs the IPP Sumsel-5 project with a capacity of 2 x 150 MW. In 2015, the Company through a consortium of its subsidiaries, PT DSSE Energi Mas Utama and PT DSSP Power Sakti, signed PPA for PLTU Kendari-3. - Coal mining In 2009, the Company taking over 99.99% shares ownership of PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk (formerly called PT Bumi Kencana Eka Sakti). And in 2015, the Company acquired new shares in United Fiber System Limited and transfer all of the Company’s shares in PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk to United Fiber System Limited. - Wholesale trading In 2010, the Company took over PT Rolimex Kimia Nusamas, a company engaged in chemical trading. - Multimedia & Infrastructure The Company also expanded and diversified its business operations by acquiring PT Mora Quatro Multimedia, a company engaged in broadband multimedia, in 2012. In 2014, PT Innovate Mas Indonesia (formerly PT Mora Quatro Multimedia), launched its multimedia services consisting of Super-Fast Internet, Interactive Cable TV, and Telephony using Fiber-To-The Home (FTTH) technology. In 2015, the Company acquired PT Austin Technology Telematika, an ISP company, and changed its name to PT Eka Mas Republik.
