EKON 91 LTD was established in 1991 • 1996 started the country’s first private installation for synthesis of alkyd resins; • 1998 started the production of alkyd and emulsion paints, giving priority to export; • 2002 started the production of foam latex cores for mattresses and pillows; • 2004 was created the brand PASTELO. In the coming years EKON became the second biggest exporter of paints from Bulgaria
