Kate of Tokyo Co. Ltd., the company behind Foula Store, was founded by Ms. Keiko Sato. An eyelash artist herself, she began her small eyelash extension salon at her place in 2007. In those days, the eyelash extension products and supplies were incredibly expensive compared to today’s market and Keiko identified the potential of Japan’s eyelash extension supplies market, thinking “I can make better products with better price”, setting goal to evolve business strategy from salon business to retail shop for professional eyelash technicians. Keiko started with online retail shop in 2010 and the first physical retail shop, “Foula Store”, opened in Tokyo in 2012. With her outstanding techniques and charismatic personality, it has since been expanded to the largest eyelash extension items supplier in Japan with 7 physical retail shop located in China, Japan and the USA today.
