Many of Oregon’s oldest and most celebrated vineyards thrive in the Willamette Valley’s largest viticultural area, the Chehalem Mountains. A mere 20 miles southwest of Portland, towering hilltops and a patchwork of marine, volcanic, and windblown sediments provide an idyllic home to more than 250 vineyards and wineries. Large swaths of Willakenzie series and Laurelwood soils further define the Chehalem Mountains with two nested AVAs, Ribbon Ridge and Laurelwood District. The diverse composition of soils, terrain, and climate are fundamental to our distinctive wines, contributing unparalleled complexity and joy to every sip.
