As an IEEE Student Branch, our purpose is to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in Electrical Engineering or related sciences, opportunities for academic, technological and professional development. Activities typically organized by our Student Branch include seminars, workshops, field trips and visits to industry, networking events as well as lectures by prominent scientists to educate and inform students on electrical engineering or related sciences. Finally, one of our biggest annual projects is IEEEXtreme, the global 24-hour programming competition for IEEE student members. Our Student Branch has also formed the following chapters, corresponding to IEEE Societies: 1) Computer Chapter 2) Engineering in Medicine and Biology Chapter 3) Robotics and Automation Chapter 4) Power and Energy Chapter 5) Geoscience and Remote Sensing Chapter 6) Communications Chapter IEEE NTUA Student Branch has received the following awards: 1) The Darrel Chong Student Activity Award - Bronze (2013) 2) IEEE Day - Photo Contest (2013) 3) Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award Winner (2017, 2019, 2020) 4) EMBS Regional Outstanding Student Chapter/Club Award (2019)
