A Smart Solution to Ajo (Traditional Savings) for the underbanked and non-smart phone users. Despite the technological advancements in Africa, a high percentage of Africans remain off-grid, unbanked, and restricted access to financial infrastructure. Poor (non-inclusive) service design by existing financial institutions, education, cultural practices, and poverty, prevents millions of Africans from accessing financial facilities and services necessary for growth. Alajo solves this problem by exploring and combining mobile technology and the traditional financial systems. This way, the unbanked, underbanked Africans, particularly those in unstructured businesses, can access banking facilities and services with proper data and insights received from digitalised cash.
