Life for Mothers exists to address the problem of maternal and infant mortality in developing countries using a unique holistic approach. We've realized that traditional methods of dealing with and treating symptoms leave too many gaps in coverage. So we're focusing on addressing the situation from multiple levels at multiple access points. Specifically, our mission calls us to: * Support district-level healthcare teams * Identify and address gaps in quality and delivery of care * Assist health-related sectors * Recruit, educate, train and engage community healthcare workers * Raise awareness through outreach programs, counseling services and dissemination of information * Develop HIV-related programs * Create a database to track progress of efforts * Lobby government to develop policies that strengthen healthcare systems
