Nirantara Foundation is located in Bidar town, Karnataka, India. Nirantara Foundation is a not-for-profit Trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act. The Trust was created during FY’09 to establish low-cost schools in urban slums. Four schools were started during 2008 for children of microfinance borrowers of Nirantara Community Services. However, this program was discontinued due to sustainability challenges (as most of the parents expected free education) With sustainability and scalability in mind, the Nirantara Foundation promoted a pre-school known as "the HoneyBees" during the FY’10 at Bidar town and eventually launched preparatory (Std III to V) and primary school (Std VI to VIII) on the name of "HoneyBees Public School" during the FY’13. Soon the name of the school would be changed to the Infinity School. In order to scale up the pre-school operations, our sister concern, Nirantara Infratech Private Limited, took charge of "the HoneyBees Pre-Schools" brand and created a franchising system. The Trust is currently managing end-to-end school operations of the Infinity School and the HoneyBees Pre-School (as a franchisee of Nirantara Infratech Private Limited). There as more than 400 students studying in our schools as of 31st January 2022. The Trust is in the process of launching Secondary School (Std IX to XII) as per the New Education Policy 2020. With effect from the academic year 2023-24, the current school operations would be shifted our new campus being constructed in the vicinity of Bidar town.
