For more than 15 years, Linda Tillman and the team at Tilma Group, have been working with regional and rural communities to grow and develop their tourism and events economy. In 2019, Tilma Group launched sister company - rEVENTS Academy to provide an online training hub where regional and rural event committees can share information, learn and upskill, cross promote, collaborate, support one another and have some fun. The overarching aim of rEVENTS Academy is to provide Event Committee’s with an integrated learning program packed with the tools, resources and training support they need to ensure they can reliably deliver a quality event without burning out. The Event Management Training program is based on rEvents Academy’s signature Ten Key Steps to Successful & Sustainable Event Management. 10 core modules that provide a holistic and sustainable approach to event management. What drives rEvents Academy > Helping to foster more sustainable festivals and events in regional destinations; > Supporting the development of professional and capable volunteer community groups that can deliver quality events; > Strategic support for new events striving to become flagship destination events; > Helping regions to improve the overall visitor experience and encouraging repeat visitation through opportunities to develop innovative festival / event programs; > Helping to ensure regional events become a drawcard to new visitors travelling to those regional destinations; > Helping to produce higher quality festivals and events, offering a unique destination experience; > Linking event committees across regions, to encourage collaboration, information sharing and resourcing sharing.
