Conceived in Spring 2007, the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra is one of Toronto's great newfound musical gems. The purpose of the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra is to: * Combine the talents of student, community, pre-professional and professional musicians in a rigorous, artistically challenging and satisfying orchestral experience. * Offer an annual series of innovatively programmed, high-quality, low-cost symphonic, wind and pops concerts, and a free children's concert. * Further serve the community with special concerts, collaborations, and education programs. * Help cultivate new fine arts audiences. * Advocate for diversity throughout the entire organization.
