The Molded Fiber Glass Companies (MFG) were founded in Ashtabula, Ohio in 1948, by Robert S. Morrison. MFG remains a privately owned and managed company. Current President/CEO Richard S. Morrison is now responsible for Corporate Headquarters and the sixteen subsidiaries throughout the United States and Mexico. Molded Fiber Glass Union City founded in 1955 was known then as The MFG Boat Company. MFG Boat Company the first company to produce a commercial line of fiber glass pleasure boats. MFG Boat Company was known as a “powerhouse”, producing more powered and sail boats than any other company in the world at that time. MFG Union City’s current molding focuses are custom manufacturing, alternative energy, construction, heavy truck, military, locomotive, transportation and corrosion markets. With over 150 employees more than 50% of our teammates have been with MFG for over 10 years, our Management team in all add up to over 200 years of composite expertise.
