Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland
www.ffarq.com.auWe are a Queensland based non profit companion animal rescue organisation, who wants to give 'death row' or surrendered animals a second chance at life. Our aim is to desex, vaccinate, microchip and where necessary, rehabilitate companion animals while they are in the safety and comfort of a loving foster home. This all happens before offering them for adoption to suitable forever homes. Our desire is to minimise the large number of animals euthanised every year in pounds and shelters. We want to educate the general public of the importance of responsible pet ownership and make them aware of the importance of desexing. We want to help reduce the numbers of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens which adds to the already over crowded pounds and shelters. Picture Encourage micro chipping so that animals are able to be identified if ever lost and able to be reunited with its family. There are thousands of animals that are destroyed every year because their owners could not or did not claim them from pounds. We are hoping to inspire more people into adopting a 'second chance' animal rather than buying from puppy farms or pet shops. All these things costs money and being non profit we don't receive government funding.
