Mothers Network Wellington
www.mothersnetwork.org.nzMothers Network Wellington is a not-for-profit organisation that has been running in Wellington for 35+ years. Run by mums for mums, we support and connect women facing the changes and challenges of being a mum, and the impact that has on other facets of their life, including their home life, career and sense of wellbeing. Our groups are run by women from Mothers Network who want to give back to other mothers. Our facilitators have all gone through a group themselves, followed by our facilitator training. All of our baby-sitters are also mothers, and have been through the relevant police checks. Our primary activity is offering discussion groups, facilitated by women from our network who have previously attended a group as well as our facilitator training. Over the last ten years more than 500 women have attended joined our network by attending a group, and 1600 women are connected through our Facebook page. We encourage mothers from different circumstances and stages to join our groups, and we also at times offer groups specific to solo parents, solo parents by choice, Maori mums, and busy mums (for those of us with way too much on!) for women who want talk to focus more deeply on these specific experiences of motherhood. We are unique in that we focus entirely on your needs first, offering empathy and empowerment as you navigate motherhood. Join us to find your tribe, connect to other women, and build your sense of wellbeing.
