We are an analytics company dedicated to the GB electricity market. We have a specific expertise in end to end demand and renewable electricity forecasting. This includes statistical model development, the IT system on which it resides, and the delivery mechanism for viewing / receiving the forecast. To demonstrate some of our capability, we run the freely available PowerLite [https://powerlite.amira-technologies.co.uk] dashboard, which visualises system wide GB electricity market data from public sources such as National Grid and Elexon. Our PowerPlus subscription allows access to our national demand and renewable generation forecast out to 7 days; these are updated every half an hour. This also includes an 18 month national demand forecast updated weekly. An element of this is our recently developed embedded GB solar forecast. The performance of which can be seen in the weekly performance report we produce on our website www.amira-technologies.co.uk (attached). Our embedded GB solar forecast substantially outperforms existing publicly available ones. The embedded wind model forecast we've developed is also an improvement on what can obtained via the BMRS. The embedded wind BMRS outturn is essentially the National Grid forecast. As such, we've chosen to develop a more statistically sound estimate of embedded wind outturn and therefore a more statistically relevant forecast which in turn improves our national demand forecast. So if access to these forecasts at a half hourly resolution is of interest, these can be purchased for a subscription of £9,950 a year.
