Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School is a co-educational, college preparatory, Catholic high school in the Diocese of Brooklyn. It provides a Lasallian Education. Primary Goal The primary goal at Bishop Loughlin is to create a safe learning environment that: * fosters academic success * builds character * develops future leaders * nurtures a vibrant personal relationship with God Academics Loughlin’s academic curriculum provides a full range of courses to meet the needs of every student and prepare them for success in higher education. We offer Advanced Placement courses in English and History. Honors level courses are offered in Math, Science, English, Spanish, French, and Social Studies. Following its conviction that it is important to educate the whole person, Loughlin also provides courses in Religion, Music, Art, Physical Education, Health, and Technology. Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Loughlin has been named a Blue Ribbon Exemplary School by the United States Department of Education. Extra-curricular Activities Bishop Loughlin provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities : band, dance, step, sports, technology, culture, poetry and more. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Loughlin also has a strong program in a wide range of sports . Loughlin students show their strong commitment to community service through Campus Ministry and Lasallian Youth projects and by supporting St. Mary’s, our sister school in Kenya.
