We offer IT and a bilingual form of study in English, accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic. The criterion for admission to the five-year bilingual programme is completion of the 8th or 9th grade of primary school. We accept students with varying degrees of English to the first year of study. By strengthening the amount of English language studies to 16 hours per week, differences in the command of English are gradually levelled out. IT studies are reinforced with the subjects informatics, object-oriented programming, computer graphics, computer networks and database systems. We create a stimulating environment and conditions for students. Foreign instructors and the educational curriculum give students the opportunity to obtain the knowledge needed for developing their talents and skills. We lead students to independent and free thinking with the aim of educating a full-fledged person ready for real life. We actively take part in national and international projects and competitions, and we also organize our own events. Students from the beginning are guided towards a system of university study, and we try to develop their hunger for knowledge and the need for lifelong learning. In addition to English, we also teach German, Russian, Spanish and French. The school offers a pleasant family atmosphere with a low number of students. We place emphasis on the interpersonal relations between teachers and students, as well as between the school and family, and we implement an open-door policy for parents and others interested in studying at the Private Grammar School FUTURUM in Košice.
