Learning Harbor Inc. provides annual mandatory training via the Internet for healthcare employees. Learning Harbor has been serving over 23,000 healthcare employees from acute care, long term care, hospices, free standing clinics and colleges sending students in to healthcare facilities, since 2000. The company provides annual training that is required for all employees and, in addition to utilizing our prepared modules, Learning Harbor customers can place their own content on the system, as well. A tracking system permits the employer to view the status of employee training at all times, and users are also able to view their records. Training can be done 24/7 at work or at home, allowing employees to choose a time that is convenient for them. This flexibility also provides the opportunity for our users to work at their own pace. Records are open for a year, and are then archived, at which time new assignments made. The modules are constructed for readability and expediency in order to enable employees to quickly complete their requirements and get back to their assigned jobs. A “help” tab is provided for those needing assistance. The company was founded by people with experience in nursing, staff education and Human Resources, and employees have found the training to be easy and fun to do.
