United Way Bengaluru is a part of the 133yr old United Way Worldwide movement which is engaged in nearly 1,800 communities spread across more than 40 countries. We work with a mission to bring about visible, lasting change by mobilizing the caring power of communities to advance the common good. Our focus is on social issues that seek immediate as well as long term meaningful attention. We catalyze unified efforts from corporates, civic bodies and citizen associations to bring about visible change. Over the past 13 years, we have worked with 500+ corporates curating their CSR programs, campaigns and events and a large number of NGOs and over 20,000 individual donors for community development projects and disaster risk reduction. Our key areas of focus have largely been in the areas of education & livelihood, health, integrated rural development, water security and volunteer engagement. We maintain global standards defined by United Way worldwide in selecting and partnering with organizations to ensure ethical behavior, accountability, transparency, efficiency and effectiveness. United Way of Bengaluru is served by an active Board that consists of corporate representatives, eminent personalities, and executives from well known charitable organizations. We support initiatives under four verticals – Education, Health, Livelihood and Environment.
